For the next few months, Laut welcomes Chef Marcus Tan of upcoming restaurant Orangutan, his modern Singaporean table built on appetite, comfort, and memory of the Singapore he remembers growing up in. 

Orangutan explores local and regional produce through a contemporary lens shaped not by the cultural lines that divide us, but the communal places where Singaporeans gather. Calling to mind our chaotic wet markets, sweaty bus interchanges, retro swimming complexes and labyrinthine sundry stores, there’s just so much cooking, and eating and drinking to do!
